The United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) allowing Emirati households to recruit Bangladeshi house workers.
The recruitment will be done through Tadbeer Service Centre; a brand name operating under government license.
The recruits in Bangladesh will only be proposed by registered local private agencies. The employees will work in the Gulf country under a contract stipulating job description, salary, other benefits, food, accommodation and transport.
Payment will be made under the UAE’s Wages Protection System, reports say.
Professions needed as part of the agreement include laborer, sailor, guard, shepherd, falconer, housekeeper, cook, nanny, farmer, gardener, private trainer, private tutor, private nurse, farm supervisor and private driver.
