The tourism and travel sector in the Emirates continues to grow and strengthen its position as the regional hub of flights as well as global tourism in the Middle East and the world respectively. Dubai will soon be hosting the 4th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) to further promote foreign investment and ties between the public and private sectors. More than 150 countries are expected to be present at the event.
The Director General of the AIM organizing committee, Walid Farghal said the Emirates has been reforming its legislations in order to provide an environment which will be attractive to Foreign Direct Investors. He said report from the UAE Vision 2021 has stated that they are destined to be “one of the best countries in the world” and urged investor s to capitalize on the opportunity the AIM offers. The event also highlights investment opportunities in some Asian and African countries.
This year’s edition will be focusing the role of business environment, infrastructure, logistics and government initiatives to attract Foreign Direct Investments. Nevertheless, other topics will also be dwelled on. It will also serve as an “ideal interactive platform” for the government and the private sectors especially towards “partnerships” geared towards attaining “excellence, localization of knowledge and to deepen the involvement of the private sector as well as to accelerate the implementation of knowledge-based economy.”
The international event will be graced by 60 Economy Ministers, Undersecretaries, decision makers, senior officials, experts, economic analyst, businessmen and investors from more than 120 countries, in addition to elite regional and international media. More than 10,000 people are expected to attend it.
The two-day event will be on the 8th of April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
