Boursa Kuwait has postponed the initial April 19 date to list its shares on the country’s stock exchange owing to the Coronavirus disease spread, reports say.
The state-run financial institution in a statement seen by public news agency, KUNA, said the decision was taken as result of the extraordinary circumstances resulting from the novel coronavirus, such as suspension of regular work hours at government departments, Zawya reports.
The company has not set a new date for the operation but such a move hinges on an approval from the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
It floated on October 1st 50 per cent its shares during an initial public offering aiming at attracting local investment and the completion of the privatization process.
