The solution backed by seven domestic banks, according to the BCT head Marouane El Abassi, will offer several services, including cash deposit and withdrawal, funds transfer, in addition to payment operations for commercial transactions.
Plus, it will enable, among other things, to manage cash transfers by encouraging the integration of part of the informal sector’s liquidity into the formal sector.
The solution is aimed at anyone with an electronic wallet that accepts mobile transactions. Merchants who have a QR code or an EFTPOS terminal can also interact with the wallet.
Banque nationale agricole (BNA), BH Bank, Amen Bank, Union bancaire pour le commerce et l’industrie (UBCI), Attijari Bank, Banque de Tunisie et des Emirats (BTE) and Zitouna are the banks endorsing the solution.
