Moroccan armed forces to take part in “Impregnable Guard” military drill in Qatar

A contingent of special forces of Moroccan armed forces (FAR) will participate in Qatar in Impregnable Guard exercise to be held March 8 to 27.

The military drill is held in the buildup to 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Besides Morocco, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, Oman, USA, France, Rwanda and the NATO will take part in the drill in the hinterland, Al Janoub stadium as well as Hamas airport, the Qatari Armed Forces said in a press release, relayed by Far-Morocco website, an online news platform focusing on FAR activities as well as on armaments and defense topics.

The participating contingents will go through several scenarios and a training program that will prepare them to counter any transborder attacks.

The international military training will take place as part of Qatar’s preparation to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the first by an Arab country.

Morocco in February pledged logistic and human support to the tiny-gas rich country that sent a delegation to the North African country to seek assistance for the global sports event.
