Palestine: Gaza schools hoist Tunisian flag in recognition for support

The action came from Palestine Minister of education, Mounir Abu Zaitar.

Palestinian schools also displayed photos of Tunisian President Kais Saied and education minister Hatem Ben Salem.

Last Friday, schools in Tunisia suspended courses for 20 minutes in support for Palestinians and against Mike Pompeo, the US secretary of state’s statements that legitimize Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The North Africa country is one of the arch proponents of the Palestinian cause. Tunisians have condemned every attempts by previous governments to thaw ties with Israel.
