The UAE and Brazil Sunday sealed several agreements in multiple areas including trade and security during President Jair Bolsonaro first visit to the Arab world.
The agreements according to the Arab country’s state-run news agency WAM encompass customs cooperation, exchange of classified information, defence and trade.
“Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and I witnessed the exchange of agreements and MoUs between our countries,” tweeted Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed after a meeting between the two men.
“We are looking to establish joint projects that help diversify cooperation and enhance our friendship.”
The Brazilian leader arrived in Abu Dhabi Saturday on his way to Saudi Arabia where is set to attend “Davos in the desert”; an investment conference in the kingdom, slated to start Tuesday.
The Gulf region tour is Bolsonaro’s first official visit to the Arab World.
