Qatar will host in the December this year FIFA Arab Cup, a tournament grouping Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup which the country is set to stage next year.
The draw of 23-country tournament is taking place Tuesday in Doha.
The tournament will bring Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen to the Gulf country.
Six venues, part of the stadiums to host next year’s world cup, will stage the event scheduled to wrap out on December 18th, Independence Day of the gas-rich country.
