Egypt Wednesday toyed with the idea of launching a direct route with the national carrier between Cairo and Dakar, capital of Senegal as part of the Arab country’s keenness to extend cooperation and consolidate relations with brother countries in the African continent, Egypt Today reports.
Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar made the announcement while receiving the West African country’s ambassador Egypt Elie C. Bay.
The Cairo-Dakar route, according to the Egyptian official, is one the promising markets in the African continent. Both Manar and Bay also discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of air transport.
Egypt, Manar noted, is eager to “extend cooperation and consolidate relations with other countries on the continent. EgyptAir is one the vibrant and prominent airlines on the continent.
