German automaker Mercedes-Benz will start supplying from this month 2,510 ambulances and mobile medical clinics to the Egyptian Health ministry as part of a deal estimated at around $190 million, Arabian Finance reports.
The health ministry’s spokesman Khaled Megahed in a statement said the procurement is part of the national project for rural development and the initiative of Haya Karima (A Decent Life).
Mercedes-Benz will deliver 1,510 ambulances from now until mid-2022, and 1,000 ambulances and mobile medical clinics by beginning of 2023, Megahed reportedly said.

The sector is currently running on $17.5 billion, Maait has indicated.
