Saudi British Bank, SABB, has appointed former CEO of Singapore HSBC Tony Cripps as its new CEO as incumbent managing director and chief executive officer David Dew is set to leave on May 23, 2021, reports say.
Cripps boasts more than 36 years of experience in the banking industry, Zawya reports.
He became HSBC Singapore CEO in 2017 and lead prior to that HSBC Australia, HSBC in the Philippines including other leadership positions in HSBC’s Global Banking and Markets business in London and Hong Kong.
HSBC is the largest shareholder, 31 per cent, in SABB.
Dew will not leave the Saudi bank entirely, he will remain as an advisor until May 2022.
