Turkey, Ethiopia ink transport agreement

Turkey and Ethiopia Thursday signed a cooperation agreement in the area of transportation awash with opportunities for Turkish private companies.
Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu signed the deal with Ethiopian Minister of Transport Dagmawit Moges, Anadolu news agency reports.
Comment on the deal, Karaismailoglu indicated that Ethiopia is an important ally and added that Turkey will provide all kinds of support for projects that will contribute to Ethiopia’s development and the growth of its economy.
“We will share all of our experience with friendly and allied nations in both investment and integration in all modes of transportation on land, air, rail, and sea,” he said.
Moges on the other hand indicated that the cooperation will enable Addis Ababa to continue of the development of the country steadfastly. She stressed that there are important opportunities for private sector companies to invest in Ethiopia under the deal.
