Saudi Arabia’s minister of Industry Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef announced Tuesday December 26 the kingdom’s intentions to invest in Tunisia’s mining sector and phosphate in particular.
Al Khorayef made the announcement after meeting with President Kais Saied, on the sidelines of the 11th joint Committee meeting between two countries.
According to the Saudi official, the Gulf country is willing to look for investment opportunities and employment incentives in Tunisia, especially as the country has significant potential in mineral resources, namely iron, copper and lead, as well as a large phosphate reserve.
