Qatar to host Total CAF Super Cup on May 28

Qatar will host on May 28 for a third time in a row the African Football Confederation Super Cup to oppose Al Ahly (Egypt) and Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (Morocco).
The tie, CAF said, will take place at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, in capital Doha.
Al Ahly are reigning champions of the 2019-2020 Total CAF Champions League whereas Renaissance Sportive de Berkane are the winners of the 2019-2020 Total CAF Confederation Cup.
Lack of agreement on the venue for the competition and the current pandemic situation made CAF to choose the Gulf country to host the match.
The 28 May final will be the third that FIFA 2022 World Cup host will organize. CAF believes staging games in Qatar helped to “broaden the appeal of the Super Cup”.
Morocco’s Raja Casablanca and Egypt’s Zamalek won respectively previous Total CAF Super Cup titles.
