Mauritania and Saudi Arabia took steps to strengthen their strategic bilateral ties through a session of the Mauritania–Arabia Saudi parliamentary friendship group held on Sunday at the National Assembly in Nouakchott.
Chaired by Mauritanian MP Ahamdy Hamadi, the meeting brought together representatives from both countries to emphasise the long-standing historical relationship and the pivotal role of parliamentary diplomacy in consolidating cooperation.
Speakers highlighted the importance of fostering legislative coordination, encouraging investment, and facilitating exchanges of expertise to benefit both nations’ interests. The event underscored the mutual view of the two states as key strategic partners and reaffirmed Nouakchott’s commitment to deepening
ties with Riyadh.
