Hungary-headquartered and low cost airline Wizz Air has revealed plans for expansion opportunities in Saudi Arabia, Zawya reports.
The airline, the media notes, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Future Aviation Forum to explore airline market development opportunities in the kingdom.
The company in a press release, indicated that it will work towards enabling potential investment and operating models to benefit and add to the Saudi Arabian aviation ecosystem, boosting its tourism industry and significantly increasing its connectivity.
The Gulf country plans to triple passenger traffic through its ambitious 2030. Listed on the London stock market, Wizz Air has a UAE-based subsidiary Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, which is 51-percent owned by state holding company ADQ.
