Central Bank of Egypt signs agreement with DFSA to fight financial crimes

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) on cooperation in the field of supervising markets.

 

The memorandum was signed by CBE Governor Tarek Amer and CEO of DFSA Bryan Stirewalt.

 

The agreement is aimed at enhancing cooperation through exchanging information and expertise along with training in the field of banking supervision, said Amer.

 

Also, the agreement will help improve the mechanism of fighting financial crimes and boosting strategies of crisis management, he added. Stirewalt noted that the memorandum will help promote cooperation between both sides in the financial services sector and boost confidence of investors.
